Iraqi officials reject US aggression, call to oust forces from Iraq
The spokesperson for the General Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces has accused the United States of attempting to destabilize Iraq and violate its security.
Following the United States' bloody aggression on Iraq, country officials moved to condemn the action and accused the US of once again blatantly violating binding agreements and Iraq's sovereignty.
The spokesperson for the General Commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Yahya Rasool, said the United States is back to carrying out airstrikes on Iraqi military units and Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) positions in a clear effort to infringe on the stability and security in Iraq.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Rasool warned that the Iraqi Armed Forces "will consider these operations as a foreign aggression that will be dealt with accordingly to safeguard Iraqis' lives and their dignity in their safe homeland."
He also said that "at a time when the agreements over the roles and tasks of the international coalition's members and advisors in Iraq have taken a positive path forward toward organizing future relations [between both parties], we find that these actions actively disrupt and obstruct this path and sabotage all operations and joint security cooperations."
Rasool vehemently rejected the US aggression on Iraq and stressed that it "undermines years of cooperation, blatantly violates Iraq’s sovereignty, and leads to an irresponsible escalation, as the region is encountered with the danger of an expanding conflict, the repercussions of the aggression against Gaza, and the consequences of the immoral war of extermination that the Palestinian people are facing."

He then called on the international community to promote peace and security and prohibit all acts of violation against Iraq's sovereignty that threaten its stability.
Iraqi officials in waves of condemnation and rejection
The Secretary-General of the Badr Organization and head of the “Nabni” coalition in Iraq, Hadi al-Amiri, affirmed Iraq's stance against US presence in the country, stressing that it has become a threat to the security and safety of the Iraqi people and a blatant infringement on sovereignty.
Al-Amiri condemned the US aggression against the PMF and reiterated his call for the government to “take immediate and decisive action to end the presence of all foreign forces in Iraq.”
On its part, the presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives stressed that the country’s sovereignty and the blood of its people are a red line that cannot be crossed.
In its condemnation of the aggression, the presidency affirmed that it “represents a blatant violation of sovereignty and a lack of respect for charters, agreements, and bilateral relations.”
Warmonger's aggression
The PMF announced that US attacks targeted its 46th and 47th Brigades of al-Jazira Operations Command in Jurf al-Nasr, and they mourned martyr Ali Anwar Subeih al-Saadi, who was killed by a US bombing on its headquarters in al-Qaim Operations Sector.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Iraq confirmed that US airstrikes targeted positions of the PMF in the town of al-Qaim on the Iraqi-Syrian border and in Jurf al-Nasr, north of Babil, south of Baghdad.
US Defense Secretary Austin Lloyd said the raids "came in response to the attacks against US and coalition forces in Iraq and Syria."
Iraq continues resisting
In the same context, the Secretary-General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades in Iraq, Abu Alaa al-Walai, confirmed that while the US forces continue to target the Iraqi Resistance, Iraqi fighters have, in the meantime, begun the second phase of their operations.
On X, al-Walai explained that the second phase includes imposing a blockade on Zionist maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and disabling the ports of the Israeli occupation entity.
The Iraqi leader threatened to continue these measures until the unjust blockade on Gaza is lifted and the horrifying Zionist massacres against Gazans are halted.
