Iraqi PM: We Have Days to Choose the Best, Most Honest
The countdown for the early elections in Iraq has begun.
Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, stressed that in a few days the Iraqi people get to choose the best and most honest to represent the Iraqi people.
Al-Kadhimi tweeted, "Today is the second anniversary of the Tishreen (October) protests that called for reform and rejected corruption,” announcing the beginning of the countdown for the early Iraqi elections aimed at outlining a better future for the country.
He added, “Soon we will hold early elections as was demanded by the protesters. We must choose those with the necessary integrity to represent our people,” ending his tweet with “glory to the martyrs.”

Soon we will hold early elections as was demanded by the protesters. We must choose those with the necassary integrity to represent our people.
A few days ago, Iraqi President Barham Salih said that the upcoming Iraqi elections represent a turning point and an opportunity to review the system of government.
On Friday, the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq called on the media to help in monitoring any violations of the electoral rules.
