Iraqi Resistance attacks Israeli sites, responding to Mawasi massacre
An informed source tells Al Mayadeen that Islamic Resistance fighters in Iraq launched three attacks on Israeli occupation sites on Monday.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched three attacks against Israeli targets on Monday, in response to the massacre committed by occupation forces in al-Mawasi, a source informed on the matter told Al Mayadeen.
On Saturday, Israeli strikes on al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip killed at least 90 Palestinians and injured hundreds of others, adding another heinous crime to "Israel's" record. The incident spurred international condemnation, while members of the Axis of Resistance, including the Yemeni Armed Forces and the Iraqi Resistance took a more proactive approach.
The source told Al Mayadeen, that the Islamic Resistance escalated its operations against the Israeli occupation following the al-Mawasi massacre.
In detail, the source revealed that early on Monday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched two operations, utilizing suicide drones against distinct targets, and a third operation using locally-developed al-Arqab cruise missiles.
A member party of the Iraqi Resistance, Kataib Hezbollah, had released a statement condemning the attacks and promising retaliation at an earlier time.
It stressed that the Israeli occupation "only understands the language of [war]," which requires that members of the Axis of Resistance raise the pace of their operations.
Iraqi Resistance factions have also stressed the role of the United States in facilitating the Israeli war on Gaza.
"The United States is participating in the killing of the Palestinian people by supporting the Zionists and supplying them with thousands of tons of bombs to commit massacres," the party stated.

Iraqi Resistance announces Monday's operations
Later on Monday, the Iraqi Resistance announced that it attacked occupied Umm al-Rashrash, Eilat, and the occupied Haifa Port on Monday using several drones and a cruise missile.
Israeli forces disregard civilian lives, in hopes of snatching achievement
Supposedly seeking to eliminate al-Qassam Brigades' leaders, Israeli occupation forces launched several strikes on an area in al-Mawasi, hosting displaced Palestinians. The Israeli Chief-of-Staff Herzi Halevi admitted later on that Israeli intelligence could not confirm whether the attack killed al-Qassam's leader, Mohammad Deif. However, around 350 Palestinians were injured or killed in the attack, most of whom were women and children.
Israeli disregard for civilian lives garnered condemnation from regional governments and the United Nations (UN).
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he was "shocked and saddened" by the strikes on al-Mawasi.
He pointed to the Israeli pretext of the attack, stressing the need to abide by "international humanitarian law including the principles of distinction, proportionality, and precautions in attack" at all times.
