Iraqi Resistance unveils new rocket, targets US bases with drones
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirms that its fighters targeted the US occupation base in the al-Omar oil field in Syria with a drone.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Tuesday the deployment of a short-range precision rocket called "Sarem" for the first time. The Resistance affirmed that this comes "in the context of responding to the crimes of the Zionist occupation in its aggression on Gaza under American guidance and administration."
Simultaneously, the Resistance confirmed that its fighters targeted the US occupation base in the al-Omar oil field in Syria with a drone, achieving a direct hit.
Early on Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for targeting the US occupation base in the Green Village in Syria with a drone in response to the occupation's crimes in Gaza.
Al Mayadeen's sources reported on Monday that loud explosions were heard in Deir Ezzor, Syria, originating from the United States occupation base in al-Omar oil field. This is the fifth time that the occupation base was targeted in the last 24 hours.
The sources mentioned that six rockets launched by the Resistance hit the base.
Furthermore, the US airbase in Kharab al-Jir, in al-Hasaka, was targeted via an attack drone. US aircraft took off from the airbase following the attack, Sputnik reported citing an unnamed military source.
These actions follow a series of attacks on US bases in Syria, including a strike on the Conoco gas field base in northeastern Syria on Sunday night, as reported by sources to Al Mayadeen.
The operations of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq against US bases and forces in Syria and Iraq continue in conjunction with Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in support of Gaza and the Palestinian people.
A couple of days ago, the Secretary-General of Iraqi Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Abu Alaa al-Walai, affirmed that the Resistance operations in Iraq will not stop unless Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip cease.
"There will be no truce with the US occupation in Iraq unless a genuine and binding ceasefire is established in the Gaza Strip," he stated.
He further noted that the safe withdrawal of US forces from Iraq depends on the secure and continuous arrival of humanitarian aid convoys to Gaza.
Al-Walai reaffirmed the strong commitment of Islamic resistance in Iraq to support Palestine, its people, and its resistance efforts.
