On Thursday, the commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, stressed that "the United States of America is the factory of dictatorship in the world."

During the National Day of Fighting against Global Arrogance ceremony, which coincided this year with the IRGC announcement yesterday of thwarting the US hijacking of an Iranian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman, Salami said that "the United States has two options in the region: defeat and withdrawal, or to stay receive blows."
Salami added that "the Americans have always been accustomed to receiving defeat from the Iranian people, but they have not taken lessons yet," explaining that "the US hegemony has begun to fade and disappear."
Salami pointed out that "the Day of Fighting against Global Arrogance is a day of great victory for the Iranian people, and it is a victory against the United States of America."

He stressed that "we told the world that we do not set our sights on controlling any country, and we do not seek war, but we will defend our interests."

The ceremonies commemorating the Day of Fighting against Global Arrogance were launched today under the slogan "Steadfastness and national resistance of the Iranian nation is key to the downfall of the US' arrogant hegemony", with the participation of the millions of Iranian people.
