A united Resistance front against occupation
The Islamic Group has mourned several martyrs since the supporting front in Lebanon launched its operations against the Israeli occupation on October 8, 2023. The most prominent of these incidents was the martyrdom of two of its members, Mohammad Bashasha and Mahmoud Shahine, who fell alongside the top Hamas leader in Lebanon, martyr Saleh al-Arouri on January 2, 2024, in the Southern Subsurb of Beirut.
Earlier, the Islamic Group, through the Vice President of its political bureau Bassam Hamoud, said that the party will continue to confront Israeli aggression on Lebanon and support the Palestinian people.
Resistance factions in Lebanon have formed a formidable front against Israeli occupation forces, as multiple parties and factions, spearheaded by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah, have united to enhance the effectiveness of the Lebanese front.
