'Israel' operations not to stop Iran nuclear, military advances: media
Israeli analysts are anticipating the repercussions of the latest message sent by Iranian leader Ali Khamenei in light of rising regional tensions.
Israeli media reported Monday about the latest message sent from Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in which he mentioned "revenge", noting that his words obliged the entire state apparatus in Iran to adhere to the implementation of this commitment, "and Israel is aware of that and does not underestimate the issue."
"All the Israeli operations that took place on Iranian soil will not stop Iran from moving in two pivotal areas: nuclear capabilities and armament, as well as the means of posing a threat on land," retired Israeli Major General Eitan Dangot told Israeli Channel 12.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a little over two weeks ago that one of its officers, Sayyad Khodaei, was assassinated in front of his house in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
IRGC chief Brigadier General Hossein Salami said, following the assassination, that Tehran would undoubtedly exact retribution for the death of one of its own Martyr Hassan Sayyad Khodaei.
"This operation prompted an awareness within Iran like never before," Dangot said, clarifying that he was talking about the same and certain figures within the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and other state apparatuses.
"The message of the [Iranian] leader, which says that retribution will be exacted, obliged all the state apparatuses in Iran to commit to carrying out this retribution," he said.
This is why, he added, the Israeli occupation is not underestimating the Iranian threats. "They are listening, and they are aware that they are not allowed to underestimate this. There are warnings, for Iran needs to retaliate swiftly."
"Israel is listening, and it is aware that the message of the Iranian leader is about retribution. It does not underestimate anything," he concluded.
