"Israel" expressed its intention to send Europe oil at "a much higher level" to Europe through Italy, as per Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday.

"We have gas reserves that we are now exporting, and we would like to expedite more gas exports to Europe through Italy," Netanyahu told a joint press conference with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni.

Netanyahu mentioned that the Italian oil giant company Eni is already involved in gas projects in Israel, adding that gas cooperation could be taken to "a much higher level."

As such, the Israeli prime minister arrived in Rome to discuss the initiative with the Italian authorities, including Meloni.

Netanyahu also attended a forum of Italian business leaders on Friday.

The Italian newspaper La Repubblica published an interview with Netanyahu before his visit to Rome where he expressed significant interest in supporting Italy's economy by supplying it with natural gas.

"I believe a closer relationship with your companies will be positive for both sides," Netanyahu argued before adding, "we have natural gas: we have plenty of it, and I would like to talk about how to bring it to Italy to support its economic growth.", in an attempt to bribe Italy for recognizing Al-Quds as the occupying regime's capital.

Later in the interview, the PM discussed "lessons from history" only to conclude that "the time has come for Rome to recognize Jerusalem as the ancestral capital of the Jewish people for three thousand years."

In other words, Netanyahu outlined his suggested version of mutual interests and claimed that the reward for recognizing Al-Quds as "Israel's" capital is a natural gas deal.
