Israeli 'nuclear' minister says no 'Israel' left if war on Gaza stops
The minister said in a radio interview that if the war on Gaza were to end, the threat against "Israel" would not only be from Gaza or the north [Hezbollah] but from "everywhere".
Israeli 'Heritage' Minister Amihai Eliyahu has warned that a captive deal to release Israeli captives in exchange for a ceasefire in Gaza would not only ruin the Israeli government but obliterate the entire Israeli regime.
Eliyahu expressed in an interview with Radio103 that if the war on Gaza were to end, the threat against "Israel" would not only be from Gaza or the north [Hezbollah] but from "everywhere," and result in the complete decimation of the occupation, adding that a ceasefire is not to be expected before "Israel" achieves its military goals.
"Israel's" failed goals in Gaza have not stopped it from killing 25,295 Palestinians with the number of injuries reaching a staggering 63,000 since October 7.
The distressing number of martyrs has radically increased throughout the last 24 hours, as the Israeli occupation committed 20 massacres against Palestinians. The Ministry also noted that the aggression on Khan Younes has resulted in the martyrdom of 50 Palestinians and injured 100 others.
In November, Eliyahu made controversial statements in an interview broadcast on Israeli radio, suggesting that the option of using a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip was on the table.
He expressed opposition to providing humanitarian aid to Gaza and advocated for the Israeli occupation to regain control of Gaza. He denied the right of existence to the northern Gaza Strip and suggested that Palestinians should go to Ireland or deserts for a solution.
Eliyahu's statements were met with strong criticism within the regime, including by opposition leader Yair Lapid who described Eliyahu's statements as "shocking and insane," and Netanyahu calling his comments "not based in reality."
Former Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz described Eliyahu's statement as "a stone thrown by a fool into a well. Even a thousand wise men won't be able to pull it out."
Last month, Eliyahu said that following the war on the Strip, Gaza must remain under Israeli occupation as Palestinians are incapable of managing "a proper civilian order," also noting in that context that the "two-state solution" is merely a delusion.
His statement is a reiteration of a previous position he made public, that he is in favor of the Israeli occupation taking control over Gaza, as well as restoring the settlements, which existed before the Strip was liberated by the Resistance in 2005.
Finally, he underlined in a more general scope that anyone who waves the Palestinian flag "shouldn't continue living on the face of the earth."
'Israel' failed to achieve any of its goals in the Gaza Strip: NYT
The Israeli occupation's military has rejected claims made by The New York Times on Saturday, contradicting its own assessment that the situation in Gaza is, in fact, worse than initially expected.
The New York Times reported on Saturday that doubts have been raised by the occupation military's high command regarding the feasibility of their objectives in Gaza, particularly in light of the limited progress in their proclaimed objective of "uprooting" Hamas from the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, "Israel" was unable to meet its goals of occupying large areas of the Gaza Strip and has had to settle for less than it had originally planned, which raised concerns among some commanders regarding the effectiveness of the Israeli war cabinet's strategy.
The slow pace of the operation has led to private expressions of frustration among some Israeli commanders, according to NYT. The report suggests that some commanders are contemplating prioritizing the retrieval of Israeli captives held by the Palestinian Resistance, at the cost of backing away from the political command's goal of "dismantling" the Palestinian Resistance.
