Israeli aggression on Damascus countryside in Syria
Syrian state media reports hearing the sound of explosions in the western countryside of Damascus caused by Israeli air raids.
Explosions echoed through the Syrian capital, Damascus' western countryside, with Syrian media reporting that the explosions were caused by Israeli air raids in the region.
According to the Syrian news agency SANA, "The sounds of the explosions were caused by an Israeli air aggression that targeted some points in the Damascus countryside."
Residents reported that several explosions were heard around 20 km southwest of the Syrian capital of Damascus, and they were preceded by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft violating the airspace of the capital's countryside.
This comes a few days after the Syrian Armed Forces' air defenses intercepted an Israeli air raid on the city of Masyaf, West of Hama. The raid took place following reports of Israeli fighters flying in the airspace of Lebanon, north of the capital, Beirut.
