Earlier in the day, an Israeli drone fired two missiles at a civilian vehicle in the town of Yater, injuring its driver. Israeli forces also advanced toward the eastern outskirts of Houla, where they detonated explosives inside a home, while bursts of gunfire were fired from an Israeli position at Ruweisat al-Alam toward the outskirts of Kfar Chouba, escalating border tensions.
Lebanon Under Fire
The escalation comes amid repeated violations of the November 27, 2024 ceasefire. Since then, Israeli attacks have killed at least 264 people and wounded more than 540 across Lebanon, striking deep into the Bekaa and Hermel highlands in addition to southern areas. On Monday, Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that airstrikes in Bekaa and Hermel left five people martyred and five others injured.
Israeli warplanes also struck the Zahrani coastal area earlier this month, killing four and injuring 17, including children, when bombs targeted an industrial hangar on the Deir Taqla farm between Ansariyeh and Adloun. Just days later, another Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the road between Aytit and Ain Baal, killing its rider instantly.

Despite "Israel's" ongoing aggression, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem reaffirmed that the Lebanese Resistance continues to deter the occupation.
In a speech commemorating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he emphasized that defending Lebanon against Israeli greed is the highest form of patriotism.
Qassem noted that the Resistance has paid a heavy price, offering martyrs including Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashim Safieddine, while ensuring "Israel" is unable to impose its objectives or occupy Lebanese territory.
