Al Mayadeen’s Gaza correspondent on Thursday reported that Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes targeting the northwestern outskirts of Rafah in the southern part of the Strip, along with another strike east of the Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City.
He also noted that Israeli artillery shelling struck areas east of Khan Younis in the south, while Israeli military vehicles conducted bulldozing and demolition operations at the Nassar junction near the Tel al-Zaater area east of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Strip.
The correspondent further reported that a woman was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the al-Atatra area in the northwest of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian resistance maintains that 'Israel' continues to carry out daily violations of the Sharm el-Sheikh ceasefire agreement, holding the occupation fully responsible for undermining the deal and for its ongoing attempts to sabotage it.
Continued Assaults
In recent days, the scale of Israeli ceasefire violations has become increasingly clear. According to figures released by the Government Media Office in Gaza, Israeli forces have committed 282 violations since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, including 124 airstrikes and attacks, 88 shooting incidents targeting civilians, 12 incursions, 52 home demolitions, and the arrest of 23 Palestinians. These violations have resulted in the killing of 260 Palestinians and the injury of 632 others since the declared halt in hostilities. Civil defense teams have also recovered 533 bodies from beneath the rubble across the Strip.
The overall death toll from the Israeli aggression continues to rise. As of November 13, the number of martyrs has reached 69,187, with more than 170,700 others wounded since October 7, 2023. Despite the ceasefire, Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and sniper fire have persisted across Gaza, obstructing ambulance crews and hindering rescue operations, particularly in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Beit Lahia. Several areas remain inaccessible due to structural collapses, unexploded ordnance, and continued Israeli fire, leaving victims trapped under debris.
Winter Hardship
The humanitarian situation is deteriorating rapidly under continued Israeli restrictions. UNRWA warned today that nine out of ten Palestinians in Gaza are now experiencing some form of malnutrition, as "Israel" blocks hundreds of types of aid from entering the enclave and continues to prevent the use of the Zikim crossing in the north. Doctors Without Borders described the crisis as “entirely preventable,” citing deliberate Israeli obstruction of medical supplies, hygiene kits, and shelter materials. UNICEF similarly reported that nearly one million bottles of infant formula, 1.6 million syringes, and solar-powered refrigerators for vaccines remain blocked under Israeli 'dual-use' classifications.
With more than 900,000 displaced Palestinians sheltering in fragile tents in the al-Mawasi coastal zone as winter storms approach, humanitarian agencies warn that the Strip is approaching a major catastrophe. Relief efforts remain critically hampered by the continued blockade, the collapse of basic infrastructure, and ongoing Israeli attacks despite the declared ceasefire, leaving millions of Palestinians vulnerable to hunger, disease, and exposure.
