The Israeli occupation initiated a series of intense raids on the Southern Suburb of Beirut overnight Thursday, with the sounds of explosions reverberating as far as Sidon and Tyre in Southern Lebanon.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the Israeli bombardment specifically targeted several residential neighborhoods, unleashing a devastating barrage that reached the al-Mareija area. This relentless assault resulted in widespread destruction and significant damage to numerous residential buildings, as the heavy raids extended from al-Mareija area to Tahwitat al-Ghadeer.
The destruction caused by the raids included an Internal Security Forces police station, the al-Mareija area municipality, Lara Flowers shop, a government building designated for distributing letters, and local football fields, along with residential buildings, commercial stores, and car showrooms.

Our correspondent reports that smoke continues to rise from the suburb, with several targeted buildings still on fire. The attacks struck warehouses filled with highly flammable materials and others stocked with tires, which accounts for the ongoing fires and subsequent explosions that have persisted.
