Israeli Cabinet discusses banning Al Mayadeen in occupied Palestine
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reports that leaks suggest raids on Al Mayadeen's bureaus, the appropriation of equipment, and the detainment of reporters for interrogation.
Israeli media reported on Sunday that the Israeli war cabinet will discuss tonight the cessation of the work of Al Mayadeen Media Network in the occupied territories.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the first leaks from the cabinet meeting indicated an approach toward banning the Al Mayadeen Network in occupied Palestine.
Our correspondent revealed that the leaks suggested raids on Al Mayadeen's offices, the appropriation of equipment, and the detainment of reporters for interrogation.

Meanwhile, the director of Al Mayadeen’s bureau in occupied Palestine, Nasser al-Laham, stressed that Al Mayadeen “will continue to broadcast what is happening, whatever the cabinet's decision is."
A few days ago, Israeli media reported that all the occupation’s security agencies, including the Mossad, the Shin Bet, the Israeli Army, and others, “made a recommendation to stop broadcasting Al Mayadeen” inside the occupied territories.
A few days ago, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in occupied Al-Quds, Hanaa Mahameed, faced a renewed campaign of incitement amid personal and direct threats against her.
In a related development, the Israeli Channel 12 correspondent and a group of extremist settlers ambushed our colleague Mahameed and harassed her in a thug-like manner.
Mahameed recounted the incident to Al Mayadeen, confirming that she was pursued by a group of journalists and settlers who went as far as preventing her from using her vehicle and making explicit threats against her after luring her into receiving a postal envelope.

She also emphasized that this attack is part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at intimidating and silencing every Palestinian, highlighting the Israeli establishment's efforts to suppress any narrative that opposes its own.
