An Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle on a public road between the towns of Chehabiyyeh (Sour District) and Kfardounin (Bint Jbeil District) in South Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA).
The attack, carried out using two missiles, resulted in the martyrdom of one individual and left several others wounded. The identities of the victims have not yet been officially released.
This strike marks the latest in a string of escalating Israeli violations of Lebanese territory. "Israel" continues to carry out military operations across southern Lebanon, amid continued tensions along the border.
Earlier this week, on June 5, “Israel” launched a major assault on the Southern Suburb of Beirut in one of the most severe attacks on the capital in recent months. That strike led to the complete destruction of nine buildings and caused damage to numerous residential and commercial properties, though no casualties were reported.
The Israeli occupation carried out the aggression against Beirut’s Southern Suburb on Thursday evening. According to Israeli Channel 14, "Israel's" attack, which targeted residential buildings in Beirut’s Southern Suburb, was in coordination with the United States.
A security source told Al Mayadeen that the Lebanese Army, in coordination with the committee supervising the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, entered the buildings threatened by Israeli occupation forces. Despite this coordination, the source added, the Israeli forces ignored the process and went ahead with their attack.
