Israeli escalation may prompt 'all-out' war: Egypt
Egypt's Foreign Minister blamed "Israel's" "provocative" policies for the recent escalation with Hezbollah, which has pledged its support for Palestinians.
The recent escalation between "Israel" and Hezbollah could trigger a full-blown regional war, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty warned ahead of the annual world leaders meeting at the United Nations headquarters.
Tensions between the occupation and the Lebanese Resistance intensified last week following thousands of devices exploding across Lebanon in an Israeli terrorist attack that targeted thousands.
The Israeli occupation has launched numerous attacks on Lebanon targeting civilians ever since the Lebanese Resistance opened a support front on October 8, with "Israel" last week committing three terrorist massacres in Lebanon.
"There is great concern about... the possibility of an escalation in the region leading to an all-out regional war," Abdelatty said in an interview with AFP published Friday.
The minister highlighted that the recent spike in hostilities has "negatively impacted" ceasefire negotiations for Gaza.
Abdelatty asserted that Egypt, Qatar, and the US have "complete determination" to continue working toward a ceasefire and hostage release agreement.
The top diplomat blamed the occupation's "provocative" policies for the recent escalation with the Lebanese Resistance, which has pledged its support for Palestinians.
He added that Egypt is currently engaging in discussions with international allies about the "importance of working to stop the escalation and stop the unilateral and provocative policies that Israel is carrying out," stressing that a wider regional war "does not serve the interests of any party."

The Lebanese Civil Defense announced on Sunday that the number of martyrs from the Israeli aggression that targeted a residential building in the Southern Suburb of Beirut on Friday has risen to 51, while 10 are still reported missing.
Lebanon's public emergency medical service reported that efforts to remove rubble from the site are ongoing for a third day, and forensic teams have begun their work to identify the martyrs whose remains were recovered.
The aggression resulted in the martyrdom of several Hezbollah members, including leaders Ibrahim Aqil and Ahmad Wehbi.
On Friday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced, "with utmost pride and honor, the martyrdom of its senior commander Ibrahim Aqil, "Abdul Qader", and a group of his comrades" in the Israeli assassination and aggression targeting Beirut's southern suburb.
In a statement, Hezbollah praised its martyred commander and the "blessed life" he led, "filled with fight, work, wounds, sacrifices, risks, challenges, achievements, and victories." The statement further asserted that Martyr Aqil's greatest wish was to pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque and his greatest passion was Al-Quds, Palestine.
