Local Syrian sources told Al Mayadeen that Israeli occupation forces conducted a new incursion into Quneitra at dawn Saturday. A force consisting of five military vehicles advanced into the village of al-Samadaniyeh, located in the Quneitra countryside.
This comes as part of an ongoing series of Israeli violations in the occupied Syrian territories, raising concerns over repeated incursions and escalating military activity near the border.
A day earlier, another Israeli military force advanced toward the village of Taranja, in the northern countryside of Quneitra. According to local sources and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the force briefly stationed itself near Bir al-Sarbukh before retreating back into the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
These maneuvers reflect an increasingly assertive posture by Israeli forces along the demarcation line, in what observers see as a broader effort to tighten surveillance and extend their operational footprint inside Syrian territory.
Earlier this week, on October 21, an Israeli military unit, consisting of two armored vehicles, crossed into Syrian territory, advancing into the village of Bariqa in southwestern Quneitra, located within the UN-monitored disengagement zone in the occupied Golan Heights, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.
According to the Observatory, the Israeli forces established a temporary inspection point on the outskirts of the village before pulling back.
The Observatory described the action as another violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and "Israel", noting the absence of any official response from Syrian government forces. It called on the United Nations and the international monitoring forces stationed in the Golan Heights to uphold their responsibilities in documenting and preventing further Israeli breaches.
