Israeli occupation forces assassinated former prisoner Raeq Abdel Rahman Bsharat during a raid on the town of Tammun, south of Tubas in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
Following the targeted killing, Israeli special forces stormed several homes in the town, conducting searches throughout Palestinian neighborhoods. The occupation's military also deployed additional reinforcements to the area.
Palestinian sources confirmed that Israeli forces seized the body of the martyr, a move frequently condemned for enacting collective punishment against Palestinians.
Arrests, injuries in aftermath of raid
Occupation forces arrested at least eight Palestinians during the incursion, including Murad Abu Haseeb, who was pursued by Israeli forces and captured after being wounded, and Abdullah Mahmoud Bani Odeh, who was also injured in the raid.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, an emergency medical responder was wounded by Israeli live fire while attempting to evacuate one of the injured from Tammun.
Additionally, occupation forces continued bulldozing infrastructure across the town.
