The Israeli occupation forces continued their sweeping military campaign across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, storming homes in the Old City of Nablus in a wide-scale overnight raid.
At least 15 Palestinians were arrested during the raid, according to an Al Mayadeen correspondent. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that around 60 people were injured, suffering from tear gas inhalation and shrapnel wounds amid the aggression.
The Red Crescent also confirmed that a young man and a paramedic were wounded by gunfire, with the occupation forces blocking emergency crews from reaching one individual in critical condition.
Escalating Israeli raids
Simultaneous raids were also reported in Ramallah. In al-Jalazone refugee camp and the Education and Training neighborhood, occupation forces issued demolition orders targeting a mosque and four homes.
In the nearby towns of Beitunia and Kobar, west and north of Ramallah, respectively, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters at civilians during the incursions.
Further south in al-Khalil, the Israeli forces raided the towns of al-Dhahiriya and al-Samu', escalating their operations in the southern West Bank.
'Israel' to raze hundreds of homes
According to Israel Hayom, the Israeli regime has begun implementing a large-scale demolition plan targeting Palestinian camps in the northern West Bank, including Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nour Shams.
The report describes the plan as a "dramatic" transformation of these areas, entailing the demolition of hundreds of Palestinian homes.
In a related report from an Israeli media platform, the commander of the occupation’s Central Command has reportedly called for the evacuation of approximately 80 homes situated on the eastern, southern, and western edges of Jenin refugee camp. The demolition of these homes is expected to begin within 72 hours.
The objective, according to the report, is to create bypass corridors around the camp to enhance Israeli military control and limit the mobility of Palestinian resistance fighters.
Dozens of Palestinians arrested
The Israeli occupation forces carried out a raid and arrest campaign in the West Bank on Sunday, detaining 7 Palestinians, as tensions escalate on the ground and violent attacks expand alongside the ongoing aggression on Gaza.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the occupation forces began their operation by storming the village of Abu Njaim, southeast of Bethlehem, where they arrested two young men, Karam Ghalib al-Hreimi and Mukhtar Salah al-Hreimi, after raiding and searching their homes.
In the town of al-Kheder, south of Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided the homes of Palestinian families and arrested two young men, Khaled Omar Khaled Sabih and Hamza Omar Muhammad Sabih.
In the southern West Bank, specifically in the Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil, Israeli occupation forces arrested citizen Na'im Khalid Abu 'Aram after assaulting him during their raid on the village of Khirbet Aqawwis.
At the same time, armed settlers carried out incursions into the villages of Umm Nir, Aghziyah, and Susiya, conducting provocative raids that terrified local residents, especially women and children.
