'Israel' blocks Arab FMs from visiting the West Bank
A high-profile delegation of Arab foreign ministers, headed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, was prevented from visiting the West Bank by "Israel", The Times of Israel reported on May 30.
The delegation included officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan, who were planning to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah on June 1.
A senior Israeli official stated that the Palestinian Authority intended to leverage the visit to "advance the creation of a Palestinian state."
Foreign ministers from the five Arab nations criticized "Israel's" blocking of their scheduled visit to the occupied West Bank, with Jordan's foreign ministry stating in a May 31 announcement that the ministers condemned the occupation barring the delegation from reaching Ramallah.
