Israeli airstrikes on Monday targeted several locations sheltering displaced civilians across the Gaza Strip, resulting in multiple casualties, according to local civil defense teams and media reports.

Two people were killed and seven others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed tents sheltering displaced families at Yarmouk Stadium in central Gaza City, the Palestinian Civil Defense reported. The stadium has become a refuge for hundreds of families who fled their homes amid ongoing Israeli bombardment.

“Our crews responded to urgent distress calls from the Yarmouk Stadium, where hundreds of displaced people are taking shelter,” the Civil Defense said in a statement.

An Al Mayadeen correspondent confirmed that Israeli aircraft had struck the stadium, which housed a large number of displacement tents. In a separate attack nearby, two Palestinians were killed and others injured in an airstrike that targeted an apartment near al-Saraya junction in central Gaza City.

Elsewhere in western Gaza, several individuals were injured in a drone strike near Abu Hasira Street.

Escalating acts of aggression

Further south, Israeli airstrikes hit a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing two people and injuring several more, according to local reporters.

Civil Defense teams also recovered two bodies and rescued three injured individuals after an Israeli strike on a displacement tent at the northern gate of the Asdaa City complex, also in Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, in Rafah, Israeli forces reportedly demolished multiple residential buildings in the northern part of the city. Similar demolitions were carried out by Israeli forces in eastern Gaza City, where several civilian homes were leveled.

These attacks come amid a continued Israeli military offensive in the Gaza Strip, now in its seventh month, which has displaced more than 1.9 million Palestinians and caused widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure.

Dozens killed, wounded

Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced earlier in the day that 17 Palestinians were martyred and 69 others injured over the past 24 hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip.

The total death toll from the Israeli assault on Gaza has now reached 51,000 martyrs and 116,343 injuries since October 7, 2023. Since March 18, 2025, 1,630 Palestinians have been killed and 4,302 wounded.

As the Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces are simultaneously raiding different areas in the West Bank.

Earlier today, Palestinian youth Malek Ali al-Hattab (19 years old) succumbed to his wounds after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the Jalazone camp north of Ramallah in the West Bank.

The Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of al-Hattab during the occupation forces' raid on the al-Batn neighborhood in the Jalazone camp. He was injured at dawn today, along with two other young men.

During the early morning hours, Israeli occupation forces stormed Nablus in the southern West Bank. They surrounded a house on Tal Gharb Street, where they arrested a young man after shooting him. The occupation forces also stormed Areeha, where they continue to close its entrances and prevent movement in and out.

Humanitarian situation 'likely the worst'

The director of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has called the Gaza Strip's situation "hellish," noting that "there is absolutely no safe place and people are constantly on the move, constantly on the evacuation order, displacement order."

During the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Philippe Lazzarini answered Anadolu's questions concerning the situation in Gaza.

He emphasized the difficulties encountered by Palestinians who, in addition to daily bombs, are "struggling with spreading and deepening hunger, are struggling with diseases, an extraordinary, also filthy, living condition."

Lazzarini expressed that the situation before the ceasefire was already "hellish," but it now has "reached the bottom," adding that since the ceasefire broke down, the situation "has gone even worse."

'No humanitarian aid to be distributed'

Lazzarini stated that UNRWA employs over 12,000 Palestinians in Gaza, but pointed out that "when it comes to distribution of humanitarian aid, there is no humanitarian aid to be distributed anymore, and the crossing has been sealed now a month ago, so the assistance within the Gaza Strip has almost completely depleted now."

He added that once "Israel" launched assaults, the UN decided to limit its presence on March 24 due to "security" concerns, underlining how a tragic incident took place "where the United Nations is operating from, with many international staff being injured and one having been killed," according to the director.

He continued, "All this has justified this decision, and when it comes to the crossing, we are constantly calling for the lifting of the blockade and the siege."
