Israeli forces investigate missile interception failure over Safad
Israeli Channel 12 scrutinized the rocket strike on the Northern Command Headquarters of the Israeli occupation forces in Safad, allegedly from Lebanon, labeling the attack as a 'decisive blow'.
The Israeli Channel 12 revealed that the Israeli Air Force is investigating the reasons for the failure of its air defense system to intercept rockets that hit the police center in the settlement of "Kiryat Shmona" and the Northern Command Headquarters of the IOF in Safad.
The Israeli channel considered what it described as a "decisive blow in Safad" this Wednesday morning, joining the direct strike that occurred, Tuesday, in "Kiryat Shmona", targeting an Israeli police center as well as other incidents. It pointed out that the targeted area in Safad supposedly enjoys broad protection and contains several strategic facilities.
Channel 12 reminded that in recent weeks, a drone, belonging to Hezbollah, surpassed the Israeli defense systems, hitting the Northern Command headquarters and causing direct damage.
Moreover, Channel 12 questioned the explanation for the direct hit, which occurred despite implementing a multi-layered air defense system in the region which included the Iron Dome batteries, David's Sling system, Hetz batteries, and interceptor aircraft capable of dealing with various threats such as planes, cruise missiles, and others.
The channel concluded that the implemented Israeli defense system, which is supposed to be "quality and world-class", has not achieved 100% success and protection.
It also noted that Hezbollah possesses between 150,000 to 200,000 rockets and missiles, with the capability to launch 1500 rockets daily. Among these rockets are short-range heavy rockets such as Burkan rockets which carry a half-ton warhead. others include the Grad rocket with a range of 15 to 20 km and the 'Fajr 3 and 5' rockets with ranges exceeding 100 km.
The report also covered the topic of Resistance operations using anti-tank guided missiles, such as the improved 'Cornet' missile or the Iranian 'Alamaz' missile with a range of 8 to 10 kilometers.
Israeli media also confirmed that systems like the Iron Dome are not designed to deal with this type of rockets.
Israeli media: Security Ministry prepares for 20,000 wounded soldiers
Israeli media reveals that reportedly, the number of wounded Israeli occupation soldiers in the Gaza Strip is much larger than officially announced.
The Israeli channel Kan mentioned, on Wednesday, that the Ministry of Security in the occupation government "is preparing to accommodate around 20,000 new casualties from the army," stressing that the data is stark in the aftermath of the war.
In turn, the Israeli Army Radio claimed that the "Rehabilitation Administration is preparing to receive 20,000 casualties this year, after receiving 5,500 last year."
