IOF admits death of one and wounding of others in Safad HQ operation
Targeting the headquarters of the Northern Command of the Israeli occupation army in Safad led to the death of an Israeli occupation soldier and several injuries among the troops, according to the Israeli army.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) acknowledged, on Wednesday evening, the death of an occupation soldier within its ranks due to the bombing that targeted the headquarters of the Northern Command in Safad, located in the North of occupied Palestine. The occupation further admitted to other soldiers sustaining injuries.
The IOF confirmed that the deceased soldier held the rank of First Sergeant in Battalion 869, part of the 91st Galilee Formation, which is a Military Intelligence Battalion responsible for the Israeli-Lebanese front.
Moreover, Israeli media affirmed that a reserve soldier in the army was critically wounded, in addition to several other soldiers sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
Israeli strikes kill 4 in South Lebanon, including mother, 2 children
The Israeli occupation military launched a series of airstrikes across several regions of southern Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of four people, including a mother and her two children.
The aggressions targeted the Lebanese villages of Souaneh, Adshit, and Chehabiyeh.
The attacks on civilian homes came after the resistance carried out a significant operation earlier this morning, including a missile attack near the Israeli Northern Command headquarters in Safad, northern occupied Palestine. This marked the second strike against "Israel's" most vital military base in the North since October 2023.
Israeli media reported that at least 10 missiles were launched toward Israeli military bases and sites, killing an Israeli soldier and injuring 7 others.
Sirens were triggered in many settlements in the North, including "Netu'a", Upper occupied al-Jalil ("Galilee"), and Safad.
Israeli media stated that 8 missiles were launched toward Safad this morning with one hitting a building in the city. Safad's mayor announced that "Missiles did not fall inside the city, rather struck bases around it."
In a significant development, Israeli media said the missiles used by the Resistance to target Safad were probably precision missiles, emphasizing that the Iron Dome had failed to intercept them all.
