Israeli forces kill West Bank fighters after 12-hrs long confrontation
Eyewitnesses indicate that three fighters were martyred in the raid and a fourth was detained.
An Israeli occupation force withdrew from the town of Deir al-Ghosun in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank, after besieging a home since Friday night, to later demolish it, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Saturday.
Our correspondent said that the withdrawing force included an Israeli military vehicle that was transporting a number of individuals, including martyrs and likely wounded Palestinians, from the vicinity of the besieged building.
The house that the occupation had besieged is owned by Salma Badran, and Israeli occupation forces raided the building under the pretext that it housed several wanted Palestinian Resistance fighters.
Resistance fighters reportedly confronted the force on Friday night and continued to defend their positions in the area up until Saturday noon. Due to the extended confrontations, the Israeli occupation ordered multiple reinforcements to the scene of confrontations, after failing to complete their mission on Friday night.
The Israeli occupation first claimed that the building housed two Palestinian Resistance fighters who executed an operation in November 2023, which killed Israeli settlers, Al Mayadeen's correspondent explained.
In the latest update, our correspondent explained that Israeli bulldozers continue to wreak havoc in the destroyed building after it was completely demolished. She also cited eyewitnesses who said that three Palestinians were martyred as a result of the raid.
Furthermore, Al Mayadeen's correspondent said that Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian after he emerged from under the rubble of the destroyed home.
Israeli soldiers target journalists covering attack on Deir al-Ghosun
As journalists covered the unfolding developments in the town, Israeli occupation forces directly targeted a number of reporters, injuring one journalist.
Several others suffered from suffocation after occupation forces shot tear gas canisters at them.
Israeli forces also worked on cutting off the electricity from the entire town, during the raid. The occupation's military also cut off emergency services attempting to tend to a Palestinian man who was shot dead by occupation forces in the area.
