Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in occupied Palestine reported that a shooting targeted Al-Jalama checkpoint, northeast of Jenin, on Sunday evening.

Local sources confirmed that in response to the repeated crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the cities and villages of the occupied West Bank, the resistance fighters opened fire on Al-Jalama checkpoint.

At dawn, today, Israeli forces launched a massive campaign of arrests in the cities of the occupied West Bank and Al-Quds, arresting 36 citizens, including 8 in Jenin.

In occupied Al-Quds, Palestinians stood up to the provocations of Knesset Member Itamar Ben Gvir and settlers in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, when occupation forces attacked the residents of Sheikh Jarrah and those in solidarity with them last night, forced them to evacuate the neighborhood, and arrested an activist.

Yesterday, Ben Gvir placed his office on a piece of land opposite the home of the Sau family, a few meters away from the land of the Salem family, in the western part of Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood.

Ben Gvir's office is a subject of contention in Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood, which has been witnessing extreme tensions following continued aggression from the Israeli occupation forces.

Last week, the residents of Sheikh Jarrah Neighborhood also confirmed to Al Mayadeen that they are determined to defend their land despite the attacks of the occupation and its settlers, saying, "We will stay here despite the attacks of the occupation and its settlers, and we will live in tents if they manage to forcefully displace us."
