Israeli Gaza refugee camp strike potentially amount to warcrimes: UN
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) expressed serious concerns that the Israeli airstrikes on the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip may be disproportionate and could potentially constitute war crimes.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) stated on Wednesday that Israeli airstrikes in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip may potentially amount to war crimes due to the significant number of civilian casualties.
"Given the high number of civilian casualties & the scale of destruction following Israeli airstrikes on Jabalia refugee camp, we have serious concerns that these are disproportionate attacks that could amount to war crimes," OHCHR wrote on X.

Today's massacre marks the second one committed by the Israeli occupation in Jabalia in less than 24 hours, with entire families among the casualties.
Concurrently, Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on the Martyrs' Roundabout (al-Falouja) in Jabalia and a house on al-Alami Street within the Jabalia camp.
According to reports, victims were transported to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, shortly after a civilian vehicle was targeted in Nuseirat camp.
Shortly after, the Palestinian resistance issued an urgent call for action to all conscientious members of the global community to address Israeli war crimes.
"The Israeli occupation has once again perpetrated a tragic massacre in the Fallujah neighborhood today, marking the second consecutive crime in the Jabalya refugee camp in less than 24 hours. These harrowing events are part of a distressing sequence of massacres in Gaza Strip that will forever cast a dark shadow on the collective conscience of humanity and the international community, which regrettably stands in silence," the statement read.
"We reiterate our urgent call to the Arab and Muslim nations, as well as the conscientious members of the global community, to assume their political and moral responsibilities in putting an end to the reprehensible actions of this authoritarian and lawless entity. The brutality and sadism exhibited by this rogue entity have surpassed all conceivable limits, demanding immediate action," the statement added.
