The former Deputy Head of the Israeli Security Council, Eran Etzion, affirmed that the Israeli government. headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, is "lying", stating that "there are no military solutions to the problems of Israelis, neither in the north nor in the south."
During an interview for Israeli broadcaster Channel 13, Etzion added that it is "no coincidence that the government has not solved the Hamas problem in Gaza after five months," explaining that it "created unrealistic expectations for the southern battle and [has done the same] regarding the northern front."
He pointed out that this is caused by the "failed administration of the government" and is also linked to its refusal to discuss its plans for the day after the war, highlighting that Netanyahu's government lacks cooperation with the Americans, confirming that "there will be no change, even if the fighting continues for a year in this way, and even in the most optimistic conditions, the government knows that."
"There are no short wars, neither in the north nor in the south, and there are no purely military solutions to our problems, neither in the north nor in the south," the former head of the Israeli Security Council stressed.
He emphasized that "the Israeli public needs to realize this and wake up," emphasizing that the Israeli government should "stop lying to the public."

'Israel's future not so rosy'
Earlier, Israeli military analyst for Channel 13, Raviv Drucker, said that "no one" should "delude" themselves, with the idea that "Israel is capable of dismantling Hezbollah."
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has launched upwards of a thousand operations in support of Palestine since October 8, giving Israeli decision-makers a glimpse of a scenario in which the group would employ its full capabilities to bombard and take over Israeli military sites.
Hezbollah's advanced infiltration unit, the Radwan Force, named after leader martyr Imad Mughniyeh, and the group's wide-ranging missile arsenal, have worried settlers and officials alike. The Israeli Security Minister has vowed on multiple occasions that a wide-scale aggression on Lebanon is in the making, however, according to Drucker, such promises will fall short of expectations.
"[The Israeli military] is currently unable to invade Lebanon and establish a [security] belt up to the Litani River or remove all Hezbollah elements from the borders," Drucker emphasized.
Pointing out that "Israel is unable to push Hezbollah beyond the Litani and ensure [that the group does not] return," Drucker confirmed that "what is happening in Gaza is evidence of" the implausibility of such plans, noting that the "future of Israel is not rosy."
"We have unfortunately awakened from this dream," the analyst said.
