Israeli measures against two female prisoners will not go unanswered
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs stresses that the captive movement will have a lot to offer in support of the steadfast prisoners.
The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs held on Monday evening the Israeli occupation government -- along with its prisons administration and its intelligence -- fully responsible for the deterioration of conditions inside prisons and detention centers, in response to the immoral and inhumane crime against the two prisoners, Fatima Shaheen and Itaf Jaradat.
The commission stated that the decision to transfer Shaheen and Jaradat to the section of criminal prisoners, will not pass unanswered, stressing that the captive movement will have a lot to offer in support of the steadfast prisoners.
"The prisons administration is well aware of the dangers of transferring the two female prisoners to the section for criminal prisoners, because those held in this section have criminal precedents and dangerous behavior," the commission pointed out.
The statement stressed that the Commission of Detainees strongly denounces this Israeli measure that aims to undermine the female Palestinian prisoners.
In a related context, the two prisoners, Iyad Radwan and Samer Abu Diak, announced their decision to carry out an open hunger strike, along with Shaheen and Jradat, who underlined that they would not retreat from this battle except by stopping the series of abuse against them.
The commission called on all Palestinians and free people of the world to support Shaheen and Jradat, who were beaten and transported handcuffed to the criminal prisoners' section.
The prisoners of "Ramla" prison began on Sunday to implement escalatory steps inside the prison, in protest against the transfer of Shaheen and Jaradat, including returning meals, medicines, and water.
It is noteworthy that the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons is about 4,900, including 34 female prisoners, according to institutions concerned with prisoners' affairs.
Palestinian prisoners are subject to oppressive and difficult conditions in Israeli occupation prisons, as a result of the violations practiced by the Israeli jailer against them, and preventing them from their most basic rights.
