Former Israeli Security Minister Avigdor Lieberman launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday, blaming him for what he described as the worst state of US-Israeli relations in recent history.
Speaking to Channel 12, Lieberman accused Netanyahu of sidelining "Israel" from key regional developments and failing to prevent what he sees as dangerous shifts in US diplomacy.
"I've never seen the relationship with the US sink this low," Lieberman said. "They're signing agreements with the Yemenis, holding direct talks with Iran, and not informing us. This is a crisis. Instead of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, Netanyahu has become the godfather of the Iranian bomb… and also the Saudi bomb."
Lieberman's remarks follow mounting frustration within Israeli political circles over the Trump administration's recent moves in the region, including renewed nuclear talks with Iran held in Oman and a US-brokered ceasefire agreement with Yemen.
Although Yemen agreed to suspend attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea, it explicitly excluded "Israel" from the arrangement and vowed continued support for Gaza. These developments have left Israeli officials increasingly isolated, fueling concerns that Washington is reshaping the regional landscape without consulting Tel Aviv.
Lieberman, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, also criticized the ongoing war on Gaza, now stretching into its 19th month. "Whoever can't defeat Hamas in a year and seven months won't defeat it in 17 years," he said. "You can't eliminate Hamas while hostages are still being held."
Domestically, Lieberman pointed to the explosive dispute over the military conscription law and the unresolved fate of Israeli captives as factors pushing the occupation toward internal collapse. "If we don't have a conscription law within 30 years, there won't be a State of Israel. That's just math," he warned.

Channel 13 presenter Eyal Berkowitz echoed the sentiment in an emotional on-air denunciation of Netanyahu's leadership. "1,856 dead since October 7, thousands wounded, some without limbs, 59 hostages, some still alive and chained in tunnels," he said.
"Tens of thousands displaced, homes destroyed, soldiers at war for hundreds of days, not knowing if they'll ever return to their families. Israel is in a state of madness, and Netanyahu's conscience is clear?!"
Turning directly to the prime minister, Berkowitz added, "If your conscience is clear, go get therapy. Find the best doctor available. All of us are in shock—and you're fine? Shame on you."
