The recent shooting in "Tel Aviv" has raised concerns about "Israel's" approach to handling the situation in the West Bank. The attack occurred just one day after the Israeli military's operation in Jenin, leading experts to question the efficacy of the country's tactics in the region, Israeli media reported.

Michal Milstein, the head of the Palestine Studies Forum at "Tel Aviv" University said that the relative calm in the West Bank following the conclusion of "Operation House and Garden" about a month ago was short-lived.

He pointed out that the recent violent events shattered any hopes of a significant shift in the equation after the military operation. This indicates that the core issues in the West Bank persist, and the solutions devised so far have only been partial and ineffective in preventing further deterioration of the situation.

Milstein confirmed that the shooting attack in "Tel Aviv" yesterday, which resulted in the death of an Israeli policeman and the injury of two settlers, serves as evidence that "the underlying problems in the West Bank persist."

He pointed out that "without concrete actions, the future prospects appear bleak, and there is a potential increase in attacks originating from Jenin, necessitating further military operations in the region, and possibly other areas within the West Bank."

According to Milstein, "the escalating challenges at the Palestinian level pose existential threats to Israel." He believes it is crucial for decision-makers to recognize that addressing these challenges outweighs the bitter internal conflict over the judicial issue, as it consumes energy and undermines cohesion within "Israel".

Israeli media reported on Saturday a shooting operation in the "Nachalat Binyamin" neighborhood in "Tel Aviv" that left one Israeli settler killed.

Earlier, the media cited Israeli occupation police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai as saying that an Israeli "municipal security guard" was critically injured in a shooting on "Montefiore Street" in "Tel Aviv" on Saturday afternoon. The Israeli occupation Army Radio also indicated that one of the injured was in a "hopeless" situation.

Shabtai indicated that another "security guard" chased the shooter and shot him before the latter was transferred to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
