Israeli PM: Flag March to take place according to designated route
Israeli occupation PM Naftali Bennett says the Flag March will be organized according to its designated plan, with thousands of settlers participating.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Friday that the "Flag March" will take place in occupied Al-Quds next Sunday, with thousands of protestors participating.
According to a statement released by Bennett's office, the Israeli PM was completely briefed on the preparations being made by Israeli police for the March, with Israeli intelligence doing ground work to support deployed occupation forces.
Bennett stressed that the "Flag March" will proceed as planned, noting that it will end at the Buraq Wall, and will not pass through the Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that activity in the Al-Aqsa Mosque will continue as usual.
Israeli media had said on Thursday that "Israel" will conduct the "Flag March", even at the cost of escalation, while also pointing out that there are concerns in the security and military establishments that escalation in the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday would lead to rockets being launched from the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian resistance factions warned on Thursday the Israeli occupation against making a blunder and allowing for the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque through "organizing the terrorist flag march."
"This plan will act as a powder keg that will explode and set the whole region on fire," the factions said on the repercussions of the Israeli occupation carrying out its infamous "Flag March".
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah also said on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation doing anything to Al-Aqsa would lead to a regional war. "It will lead to undesirable consequences."
He also concluded by noting that the Palestinian resistance chose to utilize its option to respond to any Israeli meddling with Al-Aqsa Mosque.
