On Tuesday, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian shepherds in the village of al-Mafqara, located in the Masafer Yatta region south of al-Khalil in the West Bank.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA news agency that settlers assaulted members of the Hamamda family and attempted to steal their sheep. The attack was thwarted after residents and foreign activists intervened.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF), who arrived at the scene, arrested a Palestinian youth and detained two foreign activists present in the area. Additionally, several Palestinians were injured when occupation forces attacked citizens near the entrance to the town of Idhna, west of al-Khalil.
In the north, occupation forces raided the town of Araba, south of Jenin, deploying military vehicles and storming homes. A large number of young men were detained and interrogated in Diwan Musa, including freed prisoner Mohammad al-Aridah.
In Beit Lahm, local sources reported that Israeli forces stormed homes in the towns of Tuqu' and al-Asakreh, though no detentions were reported.
Israeli occupation forces also carried out a broad arrest campaign at dawn on Tuesday, targeting several areas across the occupied West Bank. A young man was detained from Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, south of Areeha, while five citizens were detained from Araba, south of Jenin.
In al-Khalil Governorate, at least seven Palestinians, including former prisoners, were detained after their homes were raided and searched. Six others were detained in the Nablus Governorate during similar raids.
In Deir Abu Mash'al, west of Ramallah, occupation forces arrested four Palestinians, including two children, during early morning operations.
West Bank sees escalating attacks by IOF
On Monday evening, the West Bank witnessed escalations that were met by intensified raids and settler violence across several governorates.
In Jenin, resistance fighters targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a homemade explosive near the fence of Marj Ibn Amer. The occupation forces responded by firing light bombs into the sky while searching for those behind the attack.
In Qalqilya, confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and the IOF, who fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at residents. In Ramallah, settlers stormed the Al-Tal area near Sinjil and opened heavy fire, while at the same time, occupation forces raided the town of Turmusaya, north of the city.
In Tulkarm, Israeli forces raided the eastern neighborhood, shuttering shops and paralyzing daily life. Simultaneously, troops raided the town of Zita in the northern part of the governorate. In Nablus, a settler vehicle infiltrated Amman Street, where it was intercepted by youths, who smashed the vehicle and forced it to flee.
In occupied al-Quds, Israeli forces fired stun grenades and tear gas at citizens near the Al-Ram roundabout, northeast of the city. Meanwhile, in al-Khalil, troops stormed the town of Beit Ummar, north of the governorate.
