Clashes erupted on Tuesday in the city of Tubas in the northern West Bank, as Palestinian youths confronted the Israeli occupation forces near the Tayasir junction. The occupation fired live rounds, stun grenades, and tear gas toward the crowds, according to local eyewitnesses.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its medical teams treated three people who sustained injuries resulting from beatings with sticks and stones during the confrontations.
Muayyad Shaaban, head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, said that Israeli settlers set fire to four trucks belonging to the al-Juneidi dairy company, in addition to torching agricultural land, tin structures, and tents belonging to Bedouin families. He added that settlers also hurled stones at residents in the area.
In a rare acknowledgment, the Israeli occupation military stated that masked settlers threw stones at Palestinians and burned dairy trucks, agricultural fields, and structures belonging to Bedouin families, resulting in injuries to at least four people.
Arrests, attacks, and violations in Beit Lahm, Nablus
In parallel, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian minor during a raid on the town of Taqwah, southeast of Beit Lahm. Meanwhile, masked settlers attacked the village of Deir Sharaf west of Nablus, setting fire to Palestinian-owned structures and tents.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), settlers carried out at least 264 attacks against Palestinians in October alone, the highest monthly figure recorded since UN monitoring of such incidents began in 2006.
These developments come amid daily confrontations across multiple areas of the West Bank, as the Israeli occupation escalates raids, home demolitions, and arrests, while settlers continue to launch coordinated attacks under military protection.
In recent weeks, towns and villages across the West Bank have witnessed widespread escalation, including repeated settler attacks in al-Quds and surrounding areas, alongside continued incursions by occupation forces.
Eruption looms in West Bank
Israeli media outlets have reported a significant shift in the occupation army's approach to the West Bank, with military analysts warning that the region is nearing a full-scale escalation due to mounting instability.
According to a military analyst cited by the Zaman Israel website, the occupation army has changed its operational tactics in the West Bank, launching what has been described as a "quiet battle of containment and deterrence" against Resistance groups.
The report highlights that these Resistance groups are reorganizing their ranks and have begun revealing local missile manufacturing laboratories, posing a growing challenge to the occupation’s control of the area. The shift in military posture reflects deepening concern over the current trajectory of events in the West Bank, while the occupation army reportedly considers the situation volatile and increasingly difficult to manage.
The military analyst noted that deteriorating conditions on the ground, including a collapsing Palestinian economy, weakened civil infrastructure, and fragile security coordination, are pushing the region closer to renewed confrontation.
