Israeli settlers enraged, say Hezbollah imposing diktats in North
Israeli media describe the situation in northern occupied Palestine as "disastrous", as Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on southern Lebanon.
The pace of events on the northern front along the border with Lebanon has dramatically decreased in the last two days, Israeli Channel 13's military affairs correspondent Or Heller said, pointing out that Israeli settlers in northern occupied Palestine are very angry as the calm indicates that Hezbollah imposes its diktats on the status quo.
Channel 13 reported that the Israeli military estimates that fighting in the North will resume on Wednesday after the Eid al-Adha Islamic holiday, which Lebanese people in southern Lebanon are celebrating.
Shimon Kamri, former deputy mayor of Kiryat Shmona, sarcastically thanked "the Prime Minister of the North," referring to Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, for two days of calm on the northern front.
It is noteworthy that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah has not carried out any operation in the past couple of days in parallel with Eid al-Adha, as Lebanese people in the southern of the country are celebrating the Islamic holiday in their towns and villages, defying Israeli threats.
"Thanks to their holiday, we had peace yesterday and today, and we are living normally," he said.
Kamri noted that the western part of Kiryat Shmona is entirely burned, indicating that the north is in crisis amid an absence of the Israeli government, ministers, Knesset members, or the Prime Minister.
Israeli media reported that 76,500 dunums of land suitable for cows' pasture in northern occupied Palestine were set ablaze by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon since the border confrontations between the Lebanese Resistance in Lebanon and "Israel" began.
During a tour in Kiryat Shmona, Benny Gantz, who quit the Israeli War Cabinet last week, indicated that the situation in the North should be resolved through either an agreement or escalation.
He stressed that all settlers "must be back by September 1, so we do not lose another year [of fighting] in the North."
'Israel' continues its aggression on southern Lebanon
Meanwhile, Israeli military artillery shelled on Monday several southern Lebanese towns, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
Our correspondent reported that Israeli artillery targeted the towns of Kfar Kila, Aitaroun, Odaisseh, and Kfar Hamam, as well as al-Khiam, Shebaa, Kfar Chouba, Mays al-Jabal, Chihine, and al-Jibbain.
He added that Israeli occupation forces also conducted an airstrike on Ayta al-Shaab, Mays al-Jabal, and Shaqra, where one civilian was moderately injured.
Israeli warplanes also broke the sound barrier over the skies of the southern Lebanese city of Tyre and its surrounding areas.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned that an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Selaa in the district of Tyre, killing Resistance fighter Mohammad Mustafa Ayoub (Jalal), whom Hezbollah mourned.

Earlier, MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, pointed to the steadfastness of the Lebanese despite the ongoing confrontations with the Israeli occupation.
Fadlallah told Al Mayadeen that the Resistance is being spurred on by the Lebanese people who have turned out in large numbers to participate in the Eid al-Adha prayers in their towns in South Lebanon and villages near the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
He stressed that the threats and actions of the Israeli occupation would not affect the Resistance, affirming that the Resistance "does not weaken, cower, or fear [an Israeli aggression], and is ready to sacrifice and pay the price [of defending Lebanon]."
The Israeli newspaper Maariv described the situation in northern occupied Palestine as "disastrous", pointing out that many Israelis will not return to their settlements and that the education system in the North is in the process of "disintegration".
"It is clear that the North will not return to what it was in the past," the newspaper suggested.
