For months, the Israeli occupation forces have been extensively bulldozing Palestinian lands in the village of Saniriya, south of Qalqilya, and the village of Mas'ha, west of Salfit.
Muhammad Abu Al-Sheikh, the official in charge of the settlement file in Qalqilya Governorate, underlined that the Israeli occupation forces continue to bulldoze the lands adjacent to the “Etz Efraim” settlement, which is established on the lands of the villages of Saniriya and Mas'ha with the aim of expanding the settlement.
Salhiyya family to file a lawsuit with ICC
This comes as a London-based organization announced Friday that the Palestinian Salhiyya family will file a case with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against "Israel" after their home was demolished.
IOF bulldozers demolished the Salhiyya family's home in Sheikh Jarrah at dawn on Wednesday after the occupation's SWAT teams raided the home and forcefully evicted family members and those protesting alongside them.
The Israeli occupation had been pushing to forcefully evict the family for the past three years under the guise of building schools and learning centers, despite the land belonging to the Salhiyya family for generations. On Christmas day of last year, the occupation sent a final order of eviction to the family which culminated in the tragedy they experienced today.
According to the International Center for Justice for Palestinian Rights (ICJP), the ICC case is being prepared by Bendmans, an English law firm.
The organization said that Bendman's lawyer will speak with the Salhiyya family next week to finalize the lawsuit.
The organization's director and former British MP Crispin Blunt said in a statement that “ICJP is proud and privileged to stand alongside this family as they represent not just their own interests, but the century of historic injustice meted out to the Palestinian people individually and collectively."
