Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds on Sunday, under the protection of Israeli occupation police. The incursion came alongside the demolition of two Palestinian homes and a wave of detentions across occupied al-Quds and the West Bank.
Local sources reported that dozens of settlers entered the mosque in groups, carrying out provocative tours and performing rituals under heavy police protection.

During the first quarter of 2025, over 13,000 Israeli settlers desecrated the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under security protection, according to data from Palestinian authorities. These incursions, occurring on an almost daily basis, reflect a consistent pattern of violations against the sanctity of the site. In June alone, the mosque was stormed more than 25 times, and during the "Flag March" in May 2025, more than 1,500 settlers, including ministers and Knesset members, participated in a single incursion.
Forced demolitions in occupied al-Quds
Earlier in the day, occupation authorities forced two Palestinian families in occupied al-Quds to demolish their own homes.
In 2025, at least 1,000 Palestinian homes were demolished in the West Bank, including over 600 in Jenin and 400 in Tulkarm and Nur Shams. These operations have led to the forced displacement of around 30,000 Palestinians in the northern West Bank since the beginning of the year.

Arrest campaigns across the West Bank
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces detention a Palestinian man from Qalandia refugee camp, north of al-Quds. The arrest followed a raid on his home, during which other houses were also searched and vandalized.
In the early hours of the morning, Israeli forces detained a resident from the Akhtaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm in the West Bank.
Additionally, six Palestinians, including a child, were arrested in the town of Sa’ir, east of al-Khalil. Israeli occupation forces also raided the city of Qalqilya.
Local sources told WAFA news agency that Israeli troops entered Sa’ir through its eastern entrance and spread out across the Shahin neighborhood, the central market, and Nablus Street. No arrests were reported in Qalqilya at the time.
As of July 2025, nearly 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023.
