The Israeli occupation's military admitted in a statement on Thursday that a soldier from the Paratrooper Brigade’s 101st Battalion was killed in northern Gaza during confrontations with the Palestinian Resistance.

Another soldier from the Battalion was seriously wounded in the same confrontation, the statement added.

Additionally, two soldiers from the Combat Engineering Corps' Battalion 601 of the 401st 'Iron Trail' Brigade were critically injured during battles in southern Gaza, it added.

Yesterday, Israeli media announced the withdrawal of the Paratroopers Brigade from Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. This comes following weeks of fierce battles with the Resistance, which saw the killing, wounding, and capturing of a number of occupation officers and soldiers. The occupation has failed in its objective of taking control of Jabalia.

This brings the total of Israeli officers and soldiers killed during battles in Gaza following the invasion last October to 292.

Meanwhile, the army revealed that a number of Israeli officers and soldiers were killed and wounded across Gaza.

Three soldiers of the Nahal Brigade's 50th Battalion were killed in Rafah in a Resisatnce IED ambush. The soldiers were killed in a blast in a booby-trapped building.

In the same explosion, an officer and two soldiers of the Battalion were seriously wounded, and another moderately, the statement said.

Furthermore, during confrontations in northern Gaza with the Resistance, an officer and a soldier of the Combat Engineering Corps' 614th Battalion were seriously wounded.

An Israeli soldier of the elite Yahalom Combat Engineering Corps was seriously wounded, and three others lightly and moderately, as a result of another booby-trapped tunnel in southern Gaza.

Israeli media reported earlier that a large portion of occupation forces wounded in Gaza have become disabled and unable to rejoin military ranks.
