Israelis' mental health worse than ever since October 7: Gallup poll
A poll conducted by Gallup demonstrates that the mental health of Israelis is much worse than ever before, in the wake of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
A poll conducted by the American Gallup poll showed that "the mental health of Israelis is worse than ever" in the wake of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation.
According to Gallup, in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 operation, Israelis’ emotional health is worse than ever, stating that "record-high majorities of Israelis now say they experienced worry (67%), stress (62%), and sadness (51%) during much of the previous day. More than a third (36%) also report experiencing a lot of anger."
"Israel" currently holds a record number of 47 in the Gallup index of negative experiences. Since the inception of the global poll in 2006, no other "country" has seen such a substantial annual increase in negative experiences.
High rates of trauma among Israelis
The social and environmental correspondent of the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Yuval Bagno, stated that a 90% increase in the consumption of psychotropic medication as a result of war trauma had been recorded since October 7 in "Israel".
He added that the Israeli Public Health Association has seen an influx in requests from Israelis asking for professional help as they develop a borderline addiction to these medications.
Earlier, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz cited the Public Health Services and stated that in October, the number of prescriptions for nerve medications related to psychological disorders and panic treatment increased by 11% compared to the preceding month.
Additionally, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth mentioned that "direct exposure to attacks has led to a threefold increase in the risk of mental disorders". It stated that after two months of war, "many are experiencing distress or a psychological crisis; some are struggling to return to their routine lives, while others suffer from psychological disorders and continuous pain."
Sharp increase in Israelis seeking psychological treatment: Media
Earlier this year in May, psychological centers in "Israel" recorded a sharp increase in the number of those seeking help after Operation Avenging the Free the Palestinian Resistance launched in response to the Israeli occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported at the time.
The Israeli Channel 12 said psychological protection centers in the south of occupied Palestine reported a "dramatic increase" in requests for psychological assistance in the illegal settlement of "Sderot" and the occupied city of Askalan.
The channel highlighted that this case is not limited to the south, noting that amid rocket firing during Operation Avenging the Free, it was difficult for illegal Israeli settlers to leave for treatment, and they were being treated remotely.
Israeli media also reported that the percentage of requests for trauma assistance increased by 550% after the illegal settlement of "Rehovot" was targeted by Resistance rockets.
