According to the Syrian Foreign Ministry of Affairs and Expatriates, "Israel's" persistence in its criminal aggression on Syria is only evidence that it has been defeated.

The statement outlined that mounting panic on the Israeli side is a result of Syria's effort in the face of Israeli attempts to stop its support of the Palestinian people in their quest for land liberation.

According to the statement, for the third time in a week, “the usurping Zionist entity" launched airstrikes and missiles from the occupied Golan toward Damascus and Aleppo international airports, leading to the martyrdom of two civilians.

The Ministry also added that "Israel's" crimes against Gaza amount to war crimes and that its sponsors have once again demonstrated that "international law and its covenants for them are a tool that they exploit to achieve their colonial plans to target any country under false claims."

The Syrian Arab Republic, according to the Ministry, warns of the implications of continuing these attacks and activities that violate international humanitarian law, which would plunge the area into a larger spiral of conflict.

A Syrian military source reported that Israeli strikes on Sunday rendered the airports of Aleppo and Damascus out of service. This is the second targeting of the airports since the aggression on Gaza began.

Syrian air defenses intercept Israeli aggression on Aleppo, Damascus

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Syria reported that both Damascus and Aleppo international airports were targeted by Israeli airstrikes early Sunday morning.

Our correspondent reported that four missiles targeted the Aleppo Airport, while local sources reported that air defenses intercepted some of the missiles fired.

He mentioned that the attack on Damascus airport killed one civilian worker, injured another, and resulted in material damage.

Sounds of bombing were also reportedly heard in the vicinity of the Damascus airport.

Last week, on October 15, Aleppo International Airport’s runway was targeted by an Israeli airstrike.

Earlier on October 12, it was reported that Syrian air defenses intercepted attacks on the airports of Damascus and Aleppo, whose runways were damaged by the Israeli aggression.
