Joint Arab Statement: We Reject the Displacement of Palestinians
Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Palestine meet in Cairo, issuing a joint statement emphasizing the urgent need for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and increasing the entry of humanitarian aid into the sector.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, and Palestine affirmed in a statement following their meeting, on Thursday, in the Egyptian capital Cairo, the necessity for "achieving an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and increasing the entry of humanitarian aid into the sector."
The joint statement, released by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official account on X, stated, "The Arab Republic of Egypt hosted today a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Qatar, the Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, and the Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization. Discussions were held and views exchanged on the developments of the Palestinian issue and the catastrophic repercussions of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip."
According to the statement, the participants emphasized that the "priority of achieving an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, and increasing the access of humanitarian aid." They reiterated their rejection "of any attempts to displace Palestinians outside their land, or to liquidate the Palestinian issue," emphasizing the "necessity for Israel to halt all unilateral actions that undermine the chances of achieving a just peace."
Day 167: 31,988 killed, 74,188 injured in Gaza
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today that the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces since October 7 has risen to 31,988, with 74,188 others injured.
The IOF committed seven massacres against families in Gaza in the past 24 hours, killing 65 Palestinians and injuring 92 others, it added.
The ministry also said that many victims remain under the rubble and on the streets as the IOF deliberately prevents ambulances and civil defense crews from reaching them.
