Joint Syrian-Russian Strikes against Militants in Idlib
Syria and Russia launched joint airstrikes that targeted bases belonging to Turkey-backed militants.
Joint Syrian and Russian airstrikes targeted the Turkistan Islamic Party's bases on the outskirts of Al-Foua, north of Idlib, on the Kabina hilltops in the Latakia countryside, reported Al Mayadeen correspondent.
Turkey-sponsored Sham Front and Sham Legion bases were also hit by what are believed to be Russian airstrikes in the Afrin Countryside.
The Syrian and Russian air forces also launched a series of joint airstrikes in de-escalation zones, which militant groups, mainly Tahrir al-Sham, turned into training camps and military operations rooms.
On Friday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey expects a different approach from Russia regarding Syria, ahead of a meeting with his Russian counterpart.
