Kabul blast leaves 3 dead, several injured
In a blast that rocked the city of Kabul, at least 3 people are dead and several others wounded, as a claim of responsibility is still anticipated and the incident is still under investigation as an act of terrorism.
At least three people were killed and several others were wounded as a result of a blast in the National Statistic and Information Authority (NSIA) in the west of the Afghan capital on Saturday.
Local residents and other sources reported that the explosion took place in the Dasht-e Barchi region in western Kabul leaving several people injured. No one has claimed responsibility yet.
The Afghan TOLOnews broadcaster reported that four people, two of which are military men, sustained injuries. This comes after two deadly blasts in Kabul took the lives of 10 people last weekend injuring 40 others.
According to local media, Islamic State- Khorasan (IS-K) claimed responsibility for both attacks. As the anniversary of the takeover by the Taliban comes closer, in which the radical movement took control of Kabul and seized power in the country, following the chaotic US occupation withdrawal from the country, the security situation in Afghanistan remains tense.
