Kanaani reiterates Iran's support for Palestine against occupation
Tehran confirms its support for the Palestinian people and their resistance against the Zionist entity.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani, pointed out that what was reported about the Iranian mission to the United Nations is a misinterpretation by a certain media outlet.
Earlier on Sunday, the US-backed Iran International news website, known for its anti-Iran government inclinations, reported a fabricated statement attributed to the Iranian mission at the United Nations. The statement claimed that the Iranian armed forces will not engage with "Israel" as long as it does not risk attacking Iran, its interests, and its citizens.
Kanaani reiterated Iran's support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their Resistance against the Zionist entity.
The Iranian mission to the United Nations warned today that the failure to stop the war crimes and genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation in Gaza would lead to the situation spiraling out of control, pointing to long-term consequences if Israeli violations are not halted immediately.
In the same context, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Sunday warned that "if the crimes of the Zionists do not stop and the current criminal attacks against the citizens of Gaza do not end, no one can guarantee that the scope of the crisis will not expand."
Amir-Abdollahian told Al Mayadeen's correspondent on Thursday that Iran continues to strongly support the Palestinian Resistance, emphasizing that in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression, war crimes, and the siege on Gaza, other fronts joining the confrontation against "Israel" is possible.
