Hezbollah issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the martyrdom of Palestinian prisoner-turned-martyr Khader Adnan, who passed away this morning due to medical homicide while held captive in "Israel's" Ofer prison.

Khader Adnan was martyred after "a long journey filled with steadfastness, resistance, and confrontation against the enemy's arbitrary practices during more than eight years spent in detention and torture," the statement read.

It further stated that Adnan's martyrdom "reveals once more the magnitude of the tragedy experienced by the Palestinian and Arab prisoners in the prisons of the Israeli enemy, and their exposure to the most severe forms of abuse and torture."

Hezbollah called on "international and humanitarian institutions to work diligently to uncover the crimes of the occupation in Zionist prisons," and "expressed its condolences to the family of the martyr and its support for all steps taken by the resistance movements in Palestine in response to the crimes of the occupation, and to liberate all prisoners and detainees from its prisons."

In a similar vein, the Amal Movement stated that the martyrdom of Adnan is a war crime that requires international organizations to address this matter of highest priority.

Earlier this morning, the PIJ announced the death of Khader Adnan who was held captive inside "Israel's" occupation prisons.

"In our long march towards Al-Quds, we will lose many brave men, leaders, and fighters along the way, and Commander Khader Adnan was one of those who paved a wide path for all those who seek freedom in Palestine and the world," the PIJ said in a statement.

Adnan left a will before his martyrdom in which he asked his family, children, wife, and the people of Palestine not to despair despite the escalated aggression by the Israeli occupation and stressed that victory was near.
