In a press release issued on Sunday, Kim Yo Jong, the vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, warned South Korean authorities against committing "even a slight provocation" toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

KPA fools South Korean Generals

The release, titled "Misjudgement, conjecture, obstinancy, and arrogance will invite irretrievable misfortune," saw the top DPRK official disclose details of a military maneuver conducted by the DPRK's military, the Korean People's Army (KPA) earlier on Saturday.

In her address, Kim revealed that a supposed launch of 60 artillery rounds toward the maritime buffer zone splitting the two Koreas, was in fact part of a maneuver conducted by the KPA. Kim said that the exercise showed a vivid scene made by "the military gangsters" of South Korea.

Kim said that the DPRK fired no shells on Saturday, but instead set off 60 explosions made from blasting powder to simulate the sound made by firing 130 mm coastal artillery shells.

The official took a blow at the South Korean military, which reported on Saturday that the DPRK launched 60 shells in the direction of the Northern Limit Line in the Yellow Sea.

"The ROK military gangsters quickly took the bait we threw," Kim said, referencing the South Korean military.

ROK not living up to expectations

"We conducted a deceptive operation in order to assess the real detecting ability of the ROK military gangsters, engrossed in bravado and blind bravery, while crying for 'precision tracking and monitoring' and 'striking the origin' (of attacks) whenever an opportunity presents itself, dealing them a burning shame," Kim explained according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Further commenting on the events that unfolded following the maneuver, specifically the ROK's reaction to the event, Kim advised South Koreans against entrusting "puppets in military uniform" with their security. She went on to recount several incidents in which South Korea claimed that the North committed provocations.

The official took yet another jab at the South Korean military apparatus, saying that it is better to entrust security to a well-trained "dog" rather than the ROK.

DPRK has its finger on the trigger

In this context, Kim underlined that South Korean military errors due to the "misjudgment, conjecture, obstinacy, and arrogance" of its "ignorant" leaders pose a threat to Seoul's population.

Such actions, according to Kim will be fatal to the South Korean government, which may "die instantly and forcefully and end."

Finally, Kim reiterated that the "safety catch of the trigger of the KPA has already been slipped," stressing that the KPA "will launch an immediate military strike if the enemy makes even a slight provocation."
