KSA knows too well it turned Red Sea into battleground: Yemeni FM
Yemen's foreign ministry made a series of remarks: Regarding the ports of Al-Hudaydah and Ras Isa, the Red Sea, and the legitimacy of the Saudi coalition's claims.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Sanaa government denied the legitimacy of what the spokesperson for the Saudi coalition contended regarding the ports of Al-Hudaydah and Ras Isa, describing the remakrs as "[moral] bankruptcy and a baseless media fabrication."
"The farcical attempts to justify the coalition of aggression's targeting of Yemeni ports are nothing more than a cheap cinematic move that shows the world the disgraceful failure that Saudi Arabia is experiencing," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry argued that "Saudi Arabia realizes that it is the main cause behind turning, through its aggression, the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab region into a battleground for military operations, pointing out that the "spokesman of the aggression appeared in a faint and confused form, and not up to the standards of what Saudi Arabia's allies have of air and sea intelligence capabilities."
The ministry concluded its statement with an emphasis on the idea that "Saudi Arabia, with the West and the US behind it, are the main reason behind all obstacles and abuses, and are responsible for turning the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab into a potential war zone."
Seziure of Emirati cargo ship
On January 3, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced seizing an "Emirati military cargo ship carrying military equipment that entered Yemeni waters without any license and was engaged in hostile acts."
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said, "The Emirati ship targets the security and stability of the Yemeni people, and we will provide full details in a press conference in the coming hours."
Saree warned of any "aggression by the coalition against the UAE military cargo ship, which includes a crew of people from different nationalities and which was seized while it was carrying out flagrant aggression against the Yemeni people."
Yemeni sources told Al Mayadeen that the Emirati military ship was detained by Yemeni Naval Forces from the Coast Guard in Yemeni waters off the Salif port in Al-Hudaydah on the Red Sea.
The sources added that "the ship is loaded with military, not medical, equipment, as the Saudi coalition claims."
