Yemeni forces seize an Emirati military cargo ship
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the seizure of an Emirati military cargo ship, which constituted a "threat to Yemen's security."
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced seizing an "Emirati military cargo ship carrying military equipment that entered Yemeni waters without any license and was engaged in hostile acts."
Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said, "The Emirati ship targets the security and stability of the Yemeni people, and we will provide full details in a press conference in the coming hours."
Saree warned of any "aggression by the coalition against the UAE military cargo ship, which includes a crew of people from different nationalities and which was seized while it was carrying out flagrant aggression against the Yemeni people."
This was confirmed by the Head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Muhammad Abdul Salam, who said "the successful and unprecedented process of seizing the Emirati ship comes within the framework of confronting the aggression and the siege," noting that "the seizure of the Emirati ship is a legitimate right of the Yemeni people, and the Yemeni Armed Forces will have a statement regarding the matter."
Yemeni sources told Al Mayadeen that the Emirati military ship was detained by Yemeni Naval Forces from the Coast Guard in Yemeni waters off the Salif port in Al-Hudaydah on the Red Sea.
The sources added that "the ship is loaded with military, not medical, equipment, as the Saudi coalition claims."
This comes after the Saudi coalition against Yemen announced, today, Monday, that "the Houthi militia hijacked a UAE-flagged vessel off Al-Hudaydah."
