Lapid threatens to expose Netanyahu lies about readiness against Iran
Lapid suggests Netanyahu should talk less and do more about the Iranian nuclear program.
In their latest row, Israeli opposition leader MK Yair Lapid on Monday threatened to expose the lies of the Israeli occupation government Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding "Israel's" military readiness against Iran.
"If Netanyahu does not stop lying about the preparedness on the Iranian issue, I will be forced to explain all the gaps and neglect he was responsible for until we replaced him. I suggest that he talk less about the issue and above all do more," Lapid tweeted.
The opposition leader's remarks came after Netanyahu told Israeli Channel 14 on Sunday he was "confident that Israel has the strength to confront the Iranian plot to destroy the Zionist project," in response to a Bloomberg report that claimed that IAEA inspectors found uranium materials in Iran enriched up to 84%.
The Israeli occupation Prime Minister also claimed that what the public does not know is that he held eight to nine separate meetings in the past few weeks regarding Iran.
It is noteworthy that Behrouz Kamalvandi, the spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), refuted in February the information mentioned in the Bloomberg report.
On Saturday, AEOI chief Mohammad Eslami also affirmed that Iran has not had any enrichment above 60%.
Last week, Lapid condemned Netanyahu's comparison between Israelis protesting against the government's so-called "judicial reforms" and illegal settlers who raided the town of Huwara in the occupied West Bank as "a terrible statement," describing the Israeli occupation Prime Minister as "a weak and dangerous man."
