Lebanese front meeting goals against 'Israel', Sayyed Nasrallah says

The objectives of the support front in Gaza are being achieved progressively, and it is proving to be beneficial due to the Israeli occupation forces acknowledging that they are being depleted on various fronts, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Wednesday.
Sayyed Nasrallah, speaking during a commemorative ceremony for late Hezbollah commander Mohammad Nehme Nasser, revealed the establishment of the Nasr and Aziz units within the Islamic Resistance, explaining that these units represent a geographical military division for the area south of the Litani River in southern Lebanon.
"In the context of support operations, we can divert Israeli attention from its aggression against Gaza, signaling that halting these operations requires stopping the aggression on Gaza," Sayyed Nasrallah stated. He added that external parties now understand that halting operations on the northern front is linked to ceasing the attacks on Gaza.
He pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces are fearful not just of an incursion into al-Jalil but even the notion of infiltration, prompting it to bolster human presence to compensate for technological losses, thereby increasing its strain.
Israel facing darkest days
He further elaborated on the challenges faced by the Israeli military, noting its personnel shortage and the necessity of compelling ultra-Orthodox Jews (Haredim) to enlist. "The enemy's army is forced to extend mandatory conscription, which has significant economic and social implications for Israeli society," Sayyed Nasrallah said.
He asserted that the goals of exhausting the enemy's economy, manpower, and social fabric are being met, which will eventually force the Israeli occupation to halt its aggression on Gaza.
Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that the enemy was experiencing one of its worst periods historically, with investigations into the events of October 7 revealing critical weaknesses. He stated that the Israeli occupation forces were responsible for killing most, if not all, of the Israeli settlers on that date. He also highlighted that the Israeli occupation forces had failed to achieve any of its declared objectives during the war of attrition on Gaza.
Support for ceasefire talks
On the topic of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, Sayyed Nasrallah said, "We await the outcome of the negotiations, and the world has conceded that Israel cannot achieve a military resolution and that a ceasefire must be reached."
He revealed that Hamas is negotiating on behalf of itself, the resistance factions, and the entire Axis of Resistance, asserting that "what Hamas agrees to, we all agree to."
Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed that Hezbollah had not requested coordination with Hamas regarding the negotiations and fully supported all of Hamas's decisions. "We must commend the Resistance's leadership for its determination and steadfastness in the negotiations, fully aware of the pressures from both enemies and allies," he added.
Furthermore, the Hezbollah leader asserted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to halt operations before the assault on Rafah, under the pretext of avoiding defeat, demonstrated his failure to secure any victory. He pointed out that one of the key gains for Lebanon from the steadfastness of the Palestinian Resistance is that if the Israeli occupation had secured a swift win in Gaza, Lebanon would have been the next target.
Addressing threats against Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah said, "Those who threaten us with an invasion south of the Litani should look at what is happening in Rafah, with its narrow area where the Israeli army failed to achieve any victory."
"The events in Gaza have disciplined the Israeli military, and Gaza's resilience has protected all frontlines from any Israeli attack," he stressed.
Shift in Israeli threats
Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted that the Israeli occupation could no longer threaten to eradicate the Resistance in Lebanon or engage in a full-scale war against it. He explained that the occupation refrains from such threats because of its inability to eliminate Hamas in Gaza.
He also noted that "pushing Hezbollah 8 or 10 kilometers away from the border, as the occupation claims, will not solve its problem." He questioned the credibility of such threats, considering the IOF's failure to make progress in Rafah's confined space, asking, "Is it logical to use this as a basis for threatening an invasion of southern Lebanon?"
"The Resistance in Lebanon is ready, prepared, and strong, as evidenced by its responses to Israeli assassinations." He reinforced the notion that the resilience of Gaza has fortified the defenses of all resistance fronts, ensuring that they are well-prepared to counter any potential Israeli aggression.
Sayyed Nasrallah also emphasized that the confidence and morale displayed in the speeches of resistance leaders are a testament to their faith and reassurance. "Our trust and morale in the Resistance leaders are a sign of faith-based reassurance because we know the field commanders, their capabilities, and their potential."
He further clarified Hezbollah's stance, saying, "Our commitment to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was decisive and final from day one, and our fight on the Lebanese front does not have a specific name."
Sayyed Nasrallah highlighted the bravery of Resistance fighters, noting, "The Resistance fighters are racing to the front lines in Operation al-Aqsa Flood."
He also paid tribute to the late commander Mohammad Nehme Nasser, also known as "Hajj Abu Nehme." Nasrallah described him as a key field commander in the fight against ISIS in Iraq, adding, "The martyred commander was a fighter, a prisoner, and a soldier who was wounded twice, and in the end, he met a noble fate."
Sayyed Nasrallah concluded by honoring the martyrs of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, stating, "The martyrs of Operation al-Aqsa Flood are among the clearest and highest examples of dying for the sake of God. Those who are martyred for God's cause are fighting in a clear and unequivocal battle of righteousness."
