Lebanon condemns Israeli bombing of its territory
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry calls for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of "Israel" from the Lebanese territories it still occupies.
On Thursday, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned today's Israeli bombardment that targeted Lebanese territory in the vicinity of the town of Kfar Chouba, considering it an attack on Lebanese sovereignty.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns the Israeli bombardment today, which hit Lebanese territory in the vicinity of Kfar Chouba, and considers it a violation of Resolution 1701 and an assault on Lebanese sovereignty," the Ministry said in a statement on Twitter.

The Ministry called on "the United Nations and the international community to put pressure on Israel to stop its recent escalating violations and continuous intrusions into the Lebanese lands, airspace, and territorial waters."
The statement also pointed out that the Ministry calls upon the countries wishing to maintain calm and stability, in southern Lebanon, in particular, and the Middle East, in general, to be aware of the fact that these Israeli violations coincide with the approaching date for the submission of a request to extend the mandate of the UNIFIL forces operating in southern Lebanon in order to " intensify tension and disturb the atmosphere."
The Lebanese Foreign Ministry emphasized "Lebanon's respect for the implementation of all international resolutions" and confirmed its call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of "Israel" from all the Lebanese territories it still occupies.

Earlier today, Israeli artillery shells targeted the area between Kfar Chouba, Halta, and Kfar Hamam, all of which are located south of Lebanon, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
The correspondent also noted that 11 Israeli shells, launched from the "Al-Zaoura" site in the occupied territories, targeted the aforementioned region.
Lebanese Resistance movement Hezbollah warned that the Israeli occupation entity has recently taken "dangerous measures" in the northern part of Al-Ghajar, a town on the border with occupied Palestine.
The United Nations UNIFIL forces are currently present in the north of the town, which they consider an undisputed part of Lebanese territory.
In a statement today, Hezbollah said occupation forces established "a barbed wire fence and constructed a concrete wall around the entire town," noting that these actions are "similar to what Israelis are doing on the border between Lebanon and occupied Palestine."
In light of these developments, Hezbollah called on the "Lebanese state, with all its institutions, particularly the Lebanese government, and the Lebanese people with all its political and civil forces as well, to take action to prevent the establishment of this occupation, to nullify the aggressive measures Israelis took, and to work to liberate this part of our land and return it to Lebanon."
